Earth Friendly Building Materials LLC
Dan Chouinard, owner and operator of Earth Friendly Building Materials (EFBM), LLC has been in the construction industry since 1969. Dan started construction with CMU (Concrete Masonry Unit), switched to wood-frame construction, and then in 1994 started looking at alternative building materials due to the quantity and quality of wood products available. Dan has complete knowledge of construction through general contracting in both residential and commercial fields. Since 1994, Dan was instrumental in introducing Arizona, New Mexico, and California to
revolutionary building materials such as RASTRA,TM, PerformWall,TM, APEX Block,TM, Enviro-Til,tTM, and EF Block,TM. Dan's influence has since been instrumental in introducing these products throughout the United States and select global markets. These innovative products have revolutionized the construction industry by providing flexibility in design while maximizing strength, durability, and insulative values. Dan actively seeks out best-practices and innovative ideas for improving construction techniques that maximize efficiency while expanding customer design opportunities. We also promote innovative products like SureCrete Design Products to give your construction projects unique fascias that enhance custom construction. If you want to learn more about EF BlockTM and other innovative, flexible, durable, and affordable construction techniques, just give us a call! Consultations are free! EFBM, LLC has been working with the Green Building Program in the city of Scottsdale, Arizona and is a sponsor of the American Lung Association home at Civano in the city of Tucson, Arizona. EFBM, LLC has helped our communities reduce the environmental impact of residential and commercial construction for over 15 years.
We're proud to serve and proud to introduce viable ideas and innovations to the construction industry!
NOTE: EF Block will be in production in Costa Rica by June 2013 and is exclusively available through GreenTech

Earth Friendly Block
The patent-pending EF BlockTM transforms standard recycled polystyrene and plastics into durable, fire-resistant and highly insulative blocks that are easy to stack and shape into just about every construction design you can imagine. The EF BlockTM will have an everlasting positive impact on your lifestyle and our environment through strength in construction, thermal energy savings, and the recycled use of materials that would otherwise be sent to landfills. EF BlockTM is quick and easy to construct and, once constructed, various fascias can be applied to customize the appearance of finished walls. This is the technology we offer our customers. We provide you these blocks to meet your construction needs and will even license investors who want to establish EF BlockTM manufacturing plants in their region.During construction, EF BlockTM panels are stacked on top of each other without the need for mortared seams.
The panels are easy to cut and shape to fit nearly any design. As the EF BlockTM panels are stacked, steel rods (rebar) are inserted in grid-work fashion throughout the cores, and then the cores are filled with concrete. The result is custom-designed construction built to withstand fire, earthquakes, and pests while providing unbeatable insulative values. The gallery link on this website demonstrates how easily EF BlockTM panels are incorporated in construction projects.EF BlockTM technology eliminates
the need for costly insulation applications. EF BlockTM is the only insulation you will need in your walls. In addition, stucco can be applied directly to EF BlockTM,
eliminating the need for thermal wrap, tar paper, and wire mesh applications. Construction times are significantly reduced. Simplify the construction process
- Reduce construction time
- Reduce manpower and material costs
- Maximize thermal performance
